After the procedure, you will remain in our recovery and discharge areas until you are fully awake and able to be discharged. Everyone is different, and you will receive the individualized care you need.
You and your family member will be given discharge instructions regarding diet, activity, any treatments necessary at home, and any supplies ordered by your physician.
Remember, YOU CANNOT DRIVE YOURSELF after the procedure due to post anesthesia affects. You must have an adult driver and arrange for someone to stay with you for the first 24 hours following your procedure.
And finally, remember to take it easy for the first 24 hours, no matter what procedure you have had.
